2 And it came1961 to pass at that time,3117 when Eli5941 was laid7901 down7901 in his place,4725 and his eyes5869 began2490 to wax dim,3544 that he could3201 not see;7200

3 And ere2962 the lamp5216 of God430 went3518 out in the temple1964 of the LORD,3068 where834 8033 the ark727 of God430 was, and Samuel8050 was laid7901 down7901 to sleep;

4 That the LORD3068 called7121 Samuel:8050 and he answered,559 Here2009 am I.

5 And he ran7323 to Eli,5941 and said,559 Here2005 am I; for you called7121 me. And he said,559 I called7121 not; lie7901 down7901 again.7725 And he went3212 and lay7901 down.7901

6 And the LORD3068 called7121 yet5750 again,3254 Samuel.8050 And Samuel8050 arose6965 and went3212 to Eli,5941 and said,559 Here2005 am I; for you did call7121 me. And he answered,559 I called7121 not, my son;1121 lie7901 down7901 again.7725

7 Now Samuel8050 did not yet2962 know3045 the LORD,3068 neither was the word1697 of the LORD3068 yet2962 revealed1540 to him.

8 And the LORD3068 called7121 Samuel8050 again3254 the third7992 time. And he arose6965 and went3212 to Eli,5941 and said,559 Here2005 am I; for you did call7121 me. And Eli5941 perceived995 that the LORD3068 had called7121 the child.5288

9 Therefore Eli5941 said559 to Samuel,8050 Go,3212 lie7901 down:7901 and it shall be, if518 he call7121 you, that you shall say,559 Speak,1696 LORD;3068 for your servant5650 hears.8085 So Samuel8050 went3212 and lay7901 down7901 in his place.4725

10 And the LORD3068 came,935 and stood,3320 and called7121 as at other times,6471 Samuel,8050 Samuel.8050 Then Samuel8050 answered,559 Speak;1696 for your servant5650 hears.8085

11 And the LORD3068 said559 to Samuel,8050 Behold,2009 I will do6213 a thing1697 in Israel,3478 at which834 both8147 the ears241 of every3605 one that hears8085 it shall tingle.6750

12 In that day3117 I will perform6965 against413 Eli5941 all3605 things which834 I have spoken1696 concerning413 his house:1004 when I begin,2490 I will also make an end.3615

13 For I have told5046 him that I will judge8199 his house1004 for ever5769 for the iniquity5771 which834 he knows;3045 because3588 his sons1121 made themselves1992 vile,7043 and he restrained3543 them not.

14 And therefore I have sworn7650 to the house1004 of Eli,5941 that the iniquity5771 of Eli's5941 house1004 shall not be purged3722 with sacrifice2077 nor offering4503 for ever.5769

15 And Samuel8050 lay7901 until5704 the morning,1242 and opened6605 the doors1817 of the house1004 of the LORD.3068 And Samuel8050 feared3372 to show5046 Eli5941 the vision.4758

16 Then Eli5941 called7121 Samuel,8050 and said,559 Samuel,8050 my son.1121 And he answered,559 Here2009 am I.

17 And he said,559 What4100 is the thing1697 that the LORD has said1696 to you? I pray4994 you hide3582 it not from me: God430 do6213 so3541 to you, and more3254 also,3541 if518 you hide3582 any thing1697 from me of all3605 the things that he said1696 to you.

18 And Samuel8050 told5046 him every3605 whit,1697 and hid3582 nothing3808 from him. And he said,559 It is the LORD:3068 let him do6213 what seems5869 him good.2896

19 And Samuel8050 grew,1431 and the LORD3068 was with him, and did let none3808 of his words1697 fall5307 to the ground.776

20 And all3605 Israel3478 from Dan1835 even to Beersheba884 knew3045 that Samuel8050 was established539 to be a prophet5030 of the LORD.3068

21 And the LORD3068 appeared7200 again3254 in Shiloh:7887 for the LORD3068 revealed1540 himself to Samuel8050 in Shiloh7887 by the word1697 of the LORD.3068

3 Und Samuel8050 hatte sich7901 geleget im Tempel1964 des HErrn3068, da die Lade5216 Gottes430 war3518, ehe denn die Lampe727 Gottes430 verlosch.

4 Und der HErr3068 rief7121 Samuel8050. Er aber antwortete559: Siehe, hie bin ich.

5 Und lief zu Eli und sprach559: Siehe2009, hie bin ich, du hast mich gerufen7121. Er7323 aber5941 sprach559: Ich habe dich nicht gerufen7121; gehe3212 wieder7725 hin und lege dich schlafen7901. Und er ging hin und legte sich schlafen7901.

6 Der HErr3068 rief7121 abermal: Samuel8050! Und Samuel8050 stund auf und ging zu Eli und sprach559: Siehe, hie bin ich, du hast mich gerufen7121. Er aber5941 sprach559: Ich habe6965 dich nicht3254 gerufen7121, mein Sohn1121; gehe3212 wieder7725 hin und lege dich schlafen7901.

7 Aber Samuel8050 kannte3045 den HErrn3068 noch nicht2962, und des HErrn3068 Wort1697 war1540 ihm noch nicht offenbaret.

8 Und der HErr3068 rief7121 Samuel8050 aber5941 zum drittenmal7992. Und er stund auf6965 und ging3212 zu3254 Eli5941 und sprach559: Siehe, hie bin ich, du hast mich gerufen7121. Da merkte995 Eli, daß der HErr3068 dem Knaben5288 rief7121,

9 und5941 sprach559 zu8085 ihm8050: Gehe3212 wieder hin3212 und lege dich schlafen7901; und so du559 gerufen7121 wirst, so sprich1696: Rede, HErr3068; denn dein Knecht5650 höret. Samuel8050 ging hin und legte sich7901 an seinen Ort4725.

10 Da kam935 der HErr3068 und trat3320 dahin und rief7121 wie6471 vormals: Samuel8050, Samuel8050! Und Samuel8050 sprach559: Rede1696, denn dein Knecht5650 höret8085.

11 Und der HErr3068 sprach559 zu8085 Samuel8050: Siehe, ich tue6213 ein Ding in Israel3478, daß, wer das1697 hören wird, dem werden seine8147 beiden Ohren241 gellen6750.

12 An413 dem Tage3117 will ich erwecken über Eli, was ich wider sein Haus1004 geredet habe6965; ich will‘s anfahen und5941 vollenden3615.

13 Denn ich hab‘s ihm angesagt5046, daß ich Richter8199 sein7043 will über sein Haus1004 ewiglich5704 um der Missetat5771 willen, daß er wußte3045, wie seine Kinder1121 sich schändlich hielten, und hatte nicht einmal sauer dazu gesehen.

14 Darum habe; ich dem Hause1004 Eli5941 geschworen7650, daß diese Missetat5771 des Hauses1004 Eli5941 soll nicht versöhnet3722 werden weder mit Opfer2077 noch mit Speisopfer4503 ewiglich5704.

15 Und Samuel8050 lag bis an5046 den Morgen1242; und tat6605 die Tür1817 auf am Hause1004 des HErrn3068. Samuel8050 aber5941 fürchtete3372 sich7901, das Gesicht4759 Eli anzusagen.

16 Da rief7121 ihm8050 Eli5941 und sprach559: Samuel8050, mein Sohn1121! Er antwortete559: Siehe, hie bin ich.

17 Er sprach: Was ist3582 das1697 Wort1697, das1697 dir gesagt559 ist1696? Verschweige3582 mir nichts3254. GOtt430 tue6213 dir dies und das, wo du mir etwas verschweigest, das dir gesagt1696 ist!

18 Da sagte5046 es ihm5869 Samuel8050 alles an und verschwieg3582 ihm nichts1697. Er aber sprach559: Es ist der HErr3068; er tue6213, was2896 ihm wohlgefällt!

19 Samuel8050 aber nahm zu1431, und der HErr3068 war mit ihm; und fiel5307 keines unter allen seinen Worten1697 auf die Erde776.

20 Und ganz Israel3478, von Dan1835 an bis gen Berseba, erkannte3045, daß Samuel8050 ein treuer Prophet5030 des HErrn3068 war539.

21 Und der HErr3068 erschien7200 hinfort3254 zu Silo7887; denn der HErr3068 war1540 Samuel8050 offenbaret worden zu Silo7887 durch das Wort1697 des HErrn3068.

18 And Samuel8050 told5046 him every3605 whit,1697 and hid3582 nothing3808 from him. And he said,559 It is the LORD:3068 let him do6213 what seems5869 him good.2896

18 Da sagte5046 es ihm5869 Samuel8050 alles an und verschwieg3582 ihm nichts1697. Er aber sprach559: Es ist der HErr3068; er tue6213, was2896 ihm wohlgefällt!
